Refocusing the website, again.
Four years ago I refocused this site around the shop — Design & Woodcraft. It was true, as far as it went. It was also a crop of a much wider picture.
This rebuild is the whole picture. WordPress is gone; the site is hand-built now. And instead of filing the work by what it's made of — wood over here, pixels over there — it's organized by what it does: things that think, things that perform, things you can hold. An autonomous vehicle. A haunt I've run since 1998. Five singing skulls. Short films, records, photographs, games, dice boxes. Twenty-some years of it, finally in one place.
The label took even longer than the filing system. Designer? Woodworker? Game developer? I've stopped pretending: the constant was never the material. Technologist covers it.
One more thing changed. The site isn't just a place that lists the work anymore — it's one of the things I build. A machine with a little life of its own. It rewards a closer look.
