One million possible treatments for this one, and I chose THIS look? Yes I did. An old plow overlooks it’s handy work – the freshly plowed field. This shot really jumped out at me. A high dynamic range (HDR) image of a sunset in the High Desert. This was the view on Monday July 19 2010 from Randsburg. Another fine example of the beautiful skies in California’s High Desert. The colors in the sky around the High Desert area are always beautiful. Sometime much more than others… Fires raged in the Kern area, and extended their effects far into neighboring areas. This was the view from my front porch. Bright sun against a sky of blue. Another beautiful sunset in the High Desert! Almost like a hand reaching upward. Strange cloud formations are common in the desert. A high dynamic range (HDR) image of a sunset in the High Desert. A high dynamic range (HDR) image of a sunset in the High Desert. If you look very closely at the brightest spots, it looks like angels flying through the clouds. This was the view on Monday July 19 2010 from Randsburg. Bright sun against a sky of blue. This photo reminded me of something Salvador Dali would have painted. Another beautiful sunset in the High Desert! Almost like a hand reaching upward. Strange cloud formations are common in the desert. The bright reflections of the sun highly contrast the cloud's far side darkness. Fires raged in the Kern area, and extended their effects far into neighboring areas. This was the view from my front porch. The colors in the sky around the High Desert area are always beautiful. Sometime much more than others... Prime location. Bring bulldozer. My daughter waits patiently with camera in hand for the sunset. Entrance to the old TB Sanitarium at the National Chavez Center in Keene, Ca. If you end up near the children’s ward after dark, listen closely for the sound of kids still haunting the area… An image of the elder grapevine at the San Gabriel Mission in Los Angeles. Heavy post processing treatments on the Trona Pinnacles. A hand repaint of the Panamint area. A hand repaint of the Trona Pinnacles. Captured this image down in a drainage ditch. Shot in High Dynamic Range with 9 brackets. I stumbled upon this scene by luck – that’s a real butterfly perched on a grave marker. He let me get within a few inches to shoot this one. The wings were tattered, and I think he was looking for his own final resting place… Another image from the graffiti house shoot. Another shot in the graffiti house. An orange line delineates the out of bounds for the local soccer field. Time has done wonders for this unique huffer heaven, and has give this canvas to the local artists. A lawn frog that stopped long enough for me to snap a photo, wait – that’s a lawn ornament… Depth of field test, just moments before the dog whisked it away. Don’t photograph her favorite toy! This was a natural occurring arrangement. So I shot it as is. OK, everyone has to shoot one of these. This one just happens to be high dynamic range (HDR)… A lone sculpture stands exposed at he Cerro Coso College Art Gardens An exquisite floral sample held by my lovely wife. A gift bag I found on the counter. Also found out it wasn’t for me. Bummer. More shooting just about anything laying around. This time Christmas bulbs.
